voip phone review
Aircall review
A polished business phone system with a power dialer bolted on at the higher tier, better as a company phone system than as an outbound sales tool.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Setup is the smoothest of any tool here; a team can be live in under an hour
- Over 100 pre-built integrations, more than any other dialer on this list
- Genuinely good as a shared company phone system with IVR, queues and routing
Cons
- The power dialer only exists on the $50 Professional tier, and it is single line
- Three-seat minimum on both paid tiers, so the real entry price is $90 a month
- The pricing page currently renders prices as null, which is a bad sign for a company selling transparency
- G2 complaint themes are dominated by connection and call quality issues
- AI Assist is a $9 to $49 per licence add-on on top of the seat price

Full review
Aircall is an excellent business phone system that sells a mediocre power dialer as a reason to buy the more expensive tier. Judge it as the former and it is one of the best products in this comparison. Judge it as an outbound sales dialer and it is not competitive.
Pricing is $30 per user per month for Essentials and $50 for Professional on annual billing, or $40 and $70 monthly, with a three-seat minimum on both. The power dialer and voicemail drop only exist on Professional. Aircall's own pricing page currently renders its prices as the literal word "null", a strange failure for a company that sells clarity.
What it is very good at
Setup. A team can go from signing up to taking calls in under an hour, with numbers provisioned, an IVR built and routing rules live. Nothing else here is close on time to value.
Integrations. Over a hundred pre-built connectors, more than any other tool in this comparison, and they work properly rather than being Zapier recipes with a logo.
Being a phone system. Queues, business hours, warm transfers, shared inboxes and analytics that a support manager can actually use. If sales, support and operations all need numbers, Aircall handles the whole company.
What the power dialer actually is
It is a single-line dialer that walks a list. There is no parallel dialing, no auto-advance sophistication, no dispositions worth the name, and no AI transcription without the AI Assist add-on at $9 to $49 per licence on top of the seat. A rep who dials 200 numbers a day will notice the difference between this and a purpose-built power dialer within an hour.
Outbound minutes are also metered as separate line items, so the $50 seat is not the whole bill.
The complaint pattern
G2's own analysis of Aircall reviews surfaces "connection issues" and "call issues" as the two largest negative themes. For a phone company that is the complaint that matters most. There are also documented A2P SMS outages lasting months, and spam-label remediation is left to the customer as a self-service task.
The honest recommendation
Buy Aircall if you need one phone system for a whole company and light outbound is a secondary requirement. Three seats at $50 is $150 a month for a genuinely good platform.
Do not buy Aircall because of the power dialer. A three-seat Professional plan is $1,800 a year in software before metered minutes, and the dialing you get for it is worse than what a $29-a-month bring-your-own-Twilio tool delivers, and far worse than what JustCall gives you at $49 a seat. If outbound calling is the actual job, buy a dialer and let the phone system be a phone system.
Aircall FAQ
- Which Aircall plan has the power dialer?
- Aircall's power dialer and voicemail drop are only available on the Professional plan at $50 per user per month on annual billing, or $70 monthly, with a three-seat minimum. The $30 Essentials plan has click-to-call only. AI Assist is a further $9 to $49 per licence per month on top, and outbound minutes are metered as separate line items.
- How much does Aircall cost?
- Aircall starts at $30 per user per month on its cheapest published tier, verified 2026-09-04. There is a 3-seat minimum. Inbound and internal calling is unlimited. Outbound domestic and international minutes appear as separate line items and are metered.
- Does Aircall have a free plan?
- No. Aircall offers a 7-day free trial but no permanently free plan.
- Can you bring your own Twilio account to Aircall?
- No. Aircall provides the telephony itself, so minutes are billed inside the seat price rather than at wholesale. Sales dialers that do support bring-your-own-Twilio include DialSheet and Myphoner.
- Who is Aircall best for?
- Aircall is best for companies that need one phone system for the whole business, with light outbound on top. It is a poor fit for dedicated outbound teams, where the power dialer is too basic for the price.
