crm with dialer review
Close CRM review
A sales CRM with calling built in from the ground up, where the power dialer needs the $99 tier and predictive dialing needs the $139 one, and minutes are billed on top.
Pros and cons
Pros
- The best CRM of any tool on this list, and calling was designed into it rather than added later
- Email sequences, SMS and calling in one workflow with no integration work
- Chloe AI credits are included on every plan rather than sold as an add-on
- 4.7 on G2 across more than 2,000 reviews
Cons
- The power dialer only appears on the $99 Growth tier, and predictive on the $139 Scale tier
- Minutes are billed on top of the seat price, which one analysis called a 40 to 75 percent add-on tax for calling-heavy reps
- No parallel dialing at any tier
- Expensive as a pure dialer if you already have a CRM you like

Full review
Close is a CRM first and a dialer second, and it is the best CRM in this comparison by a distance. Whether that makes it the right purchase depends entirely on whether you are replacing a CRM at the same time.
Pricing runs $9 for Solo, $35 Essentials, $99 Growth and $139 Scale per user per month on annual billing. Click-to-call is on every tier. The power dialer needs Growth at $99. The predictive dialer needs Scale at $139. Minutes are billed separately.
Why teams love it
Calling was designed into Close from the beginning rather than added to a CRM later, and it shows in a hundred small ways: the call happens inside the lead record, the note field is already focused when the call connects, the next action is one keystroke, and email sequences, SMS and calls share one timeline. A rep working a list in Close does not switch context, and that is worth more than most feature comparisons capture.
Chloe, the AI layer, is included on every plan with monthly credits rather than sold as an add-on. That is unusually generous.
The 4.7 rating across more than 2,000 G2 reviews is well earned.
The telephony tax
Close bills calling separately. Its own pricing page says most outbound calls cost around $0.02 a minute with numbers from about $1 a month. That is roughly 40 percent above Twilio's $0.014 wholesale rate, and one analysis described the effect for calling-heavy reps as a 40 to 75 percent add-on tax on top of the seat price, landing real spend at $130 to $180 a seat.
For a rep making 150 dials a day, the metered minutes are perhaps $25 to $35 a month. On top of a $99 seat, that is fine. It is worth knowing about rather than being surprised by.
The tier problem
The power dialer at $99 is the sticking point. Essentials at $35 is a good CRM with click-to-call, and click-to-call is not a power dialer. A team that wants Close's CRM and real dialing is buying the $99 tier, which is $1,188 per rep per year plus minutes.
There is no parallel dialing at any tier.
Who should buy it
Teams replacing a CRM and a dialer at once. If you are currently running a spreadsheet plus a phone, Close collapses that into one system and the integration work you skip is worth real money. Five seats on Growth is $495 a month, which is expensive but defensible when it is also your CRM, your sequencer and your reporting.
Teams that already have a CRM they like should not buy Close as a dialer. At $99 a seat for the tier that includes dialing, you would be paying mostly for a CRM you are not going to use. A dedicated power dialer that syncs by API costs a fraction of that, and a bring-your-own-Twilio tool with its own lightweight CRM costs $29 a month for three seats.
Close CRM FAQ
- Does Close CRM include a power dialer?
- Close includes click-to-call on every plan, but the power dialer requires the Growth tier at $99 per user per month on annual billing, and the predictive dialer requires Scale at $139. Calling minutes are billed separately at roughly $0.02 a minute outbound with numbers from about $1 a month, so a calling-heavy rep commonly lands at $130 to $180 a seat all in.
- Is Close worth it just for the dialer?
- No. Close is a CRM first, and the $99 Growth tier that includes the power dialer is mostly paying for the CRM. It is excellent value if you are replacing a CRM and a dialer at the same time, and poor value if you already have a CRM you intend to keep. In that case a dedicated power dialer that syncs by API costs a fraction of the price.
- How much does Close CRM cost?
- Close CRM starts at $9 per user per month on its cheapest published tier, verified 2026-09-04. Close bills calling separately. Its own pricing page says most outbound calls cost around $0.02 a minute with numbers from about $1 a month. Calling-heavy reps commonly land at $130 to $180 a seat all in.
- Does Close CRM have a free plan?
- No. Close CRM offers a 14-day free trial but no permanently free plan.
- Can you bring your own Twilio account to Close CRM?
- No. Close CRM provides the telephony itself, so minutes are billed inside the seat price rather than at wholesale. Sales dialers that do support bring-your-own-Twilio include DialSheet and Myphoner.
- Who is Close CRM best for?
- Close CRM is best for small sales teams that want one system for CRM, email sequences and calling. It is a poor fit for teams that only need a dialer, because the CRM is most of what you are paying for.
