Head to head

Aircall vs JustCall: which is the better outbound sales tool?

Both are cloud phone systems with a dialer attached. JustCall is better for sales, Aircall is better as a company phone system, and the price gap runs the other way from what you would expect.

Pick Aircall if

Sales, support and operations all need numbers, routing and queues, and outbound dialing is a secondary requirement rather than the main job.

Pick JustCall if

Outbound sales is the job, you want unlimited outbound minutes and real two-way SMS, and you would rather have published pricing.

Consider neither if

If dialing volume is the whole point and you do not need a phone system at all, a dedicated power dialer costs less and dials faster. A pack-priced tool with your own Twilio account runs about $79 a month for three reps against $147 on JustCall and $150 on Aircall.

They are not competing for the same job

Aircall is a business phone system. Queues, IVR, business hours, warm transfers, shared inboxes and analytics a support manager can use. The power dialer is a feature on a higher tier.

JustCall is a business phone system that took sales seriously. The dialer is better, the SMS is better, and the tier that includes both costs less.

Both are good at what they are. The mistake is buying Aircall because of its power dialer.

Where Aircall wins

Setup speed. A team can be live in under an hour with numbers provisioned, an IVR built and routing rules in place. Nothing else in this comparison is close.

Being a phone system. If support and operations need numbers too, Aircall handles the whole company properly. JustCall can do this and it is not what it was designed for.

Integration quality. Both claim over a hundred; Aircall's tend to be more mature.

Where JustCall wins

The dialer. JustCall's power dialer is a working sales tool. Aircall's is single line and basic, and a rep dialing 200 numbers a day notices within an hour.

SMS. JustCall's two-way texting is properly built rather than added. For any sales motion where "text me the details" is a common outcome, this matters more than most feature comparisons capture.

Minutes. JustCall includes unlimited outbound from Pro Plus. Aircall meters outbound as separate line items on top of the seat, so the $50 seat is not the whole bill.

The trial. Fourteen days against seven. Seven days is enough to test setup and not enough to measure outcomes.

Published pricing. Aircall's own pricing page currently renders its prices as the literal word "null", which is a strange failure for a company selling clarity.

The complaint patterns

Both have call quality complaints, which is the standard risk of browser-based calling.

Aircall's G2 review analysis surfaces "connection issues" and "call issues" as the two largest negative themes, and there are documented A2P SMS outages lasting months, with spam-label remediation left to the customer as a self-service task.

JustCall reviewers report dropped calls on unstable connections, and the tier structure causes real buying mistakes, with buyers regularly discovering that Team at $29 has no power dialer.

Test both on your actual office network during the trial. This is the one thing a demo will not reveal.

The cost, three reps

OptionSoftwareTelephonyTotal
JustCall Pro$147included~$147
Aircall Professional$150metered on top$150+
A dedicated dialer with own Twilio$29~$50~$79

That third row is the honest footnote to this comparison. If you need a phone system, one of these two is right. If you need a dialer and nothing else, both are expensive for the job.

The verdict

JustCall for outbound sales, clearly. Better dialer, better SMS, unlimited minutes, longer trial, lower minimum, published prices.

Aircall if the requirement is a phone system for a company rather than a tool for a sales team.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aircall or JustCall better for cold calling?
JustCall. Its power dialer starts on the $49 Pro tier with unlimited outbound minutes and properly built two-way SMS, while Aircall's power dialer requires the $50 Professional tier, is single line, and meters outbound minutes as separate line items on top of the seat price. JustCall also offers a 14-day trial against Aircall's 7 and has a two-seat minimum against Aircall's three.
Which Aircall plan has the power dialer?
Only Professional, at $50 per user per month on annual billing or $70 monthly, with a three-seat minimum. The $30 Essentials plan has click-to-call only. AI Assist is a further $9 to $49 per licence per month, and outbound minutes appear as separate metered line items, so the $50 seat is not the complete bill.
Does JustCall have unlimited minutes?
Unlimited inbound on all tiers, and unlimited outbound from Pro Plus at $89 per user per month, with regional restrictions on the $29 Team tier. That is a meaningful difference from Aircall, which meters outbound domestic and international minutes as separate line items on top of the seat price on every tier.
