PhoneBurner pricing in 2026, and the minute count that justifies it

PhoneBurner's three tiers, what each one includes, what is locked to the top tier, and the talk-minute threshold above which unlimited calling costs less than paying a carrier directly.

Line chart of monthly cost against talk minutes a rep, with PhoneBurner's flat $140 unlimited seat crossing a rising own-carrier line billed at $0.014 a minute at roughly 9,000 minutes, and the 1,500 to 3,000 minutes most B2B reps use shaded well below the crossing point.
Bundled unlimited calling at $140 a seat beats wholesale telephony at $0.014 a minute only above roughly 9,000 talk minutes a month. Twilio US outbound rate verified September 2026.

PhoneBurner is the most expensive published price in this category for single-line dialing, and it is also the tool with the clearest argument for its price. Both things are true and most pages about it pick one.

The tiers

Standard$140per user per month, annualYes$165 billed monthly
Professional$165per user per month, annualYes$195 monthly. Adds live call monitoring and Krisp noise cancellation.
Premium$183per user per month, annualYes$215 monthly. Adds call transcription, AI note-taker, inbound and SMS.

What is locked where

The tier ladder is unusually consequential here, because the features most outbound teams assume are standard sit at the top.

  • Transcription and the AI note-taker need Premium at $183, which is $43 a seat above Standard.
  • Inbound calling and SMS also need Premium. A team that wants prospects to be able to call back is on the top tier.
  • SMS is capped at 1,000 outbound messages a month even there.
  • Live call monitoring needs Professional at $165, which is the tier most managed teams end up on.

A five-person team that wants transcription, inbound and coaching is buying Premium, at $915 a month, or $10,980 a year.

The unlimited minutes, priced properly

This is the calculation that decides whether PhoneBurner is expensive or cheap for you, and it has one input: how long your reps talk.

Unlimited calling inside a $140 seat replaces a carrier bill. At Twilio's published US rate of $0.014 a minute, read 2026-09-04, and after subtracting what the cheapest alternative charges for software and a number, the two arrangements cost the same at about 9,000 talk minutes a rep a month. That is roughly 150 hours of conversation.

Rep profileTalk minutes a monthCheaper arrangement
B2B SDR, 150 dials a day, 5 percent connect~1,166Own carrier, by a wide margin
Account executive with inbound and outbound~2,500 to 3,500Own carrier
Recruiter, back-to-back screening calls~6,000 to 9,000Close to even
Insurance or mortgage desk, long quote calls~9,000 and upPhoneBurner

If you are in the bottom row, stop comparing seat prices and buy the unlimited minutes. If you are in the top row, the seat price is buying you something you would otherwise pay about $17 a month for.

What else the price buys

Voicemail drop, which matters more than its reputation suggests. On a desk where 80 percent of dials reach voicemail, dropping a pre-recorded message in one keystroke rather than talking through it saves a rep roughly thirty seconds per attempt, and PhoneBurner's implementation is mature. Local presence, call recording, a built-in CRM and connectors for Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and Pipedrive are all included from Standard.

The public record is strong: 4.7 on G2 across roughly 285 reviews. The counterweight is a Trustpilot average of 3.3, where the complaints cluster on billing and cancellation rather than on the product.

Where it costs more than it should

  • No parallel or multi-line dialing at any tier. Source, confirmed 2026-09-04.
  • Call transcription and the AI note-taker are locked to the $183 Premium tier. Source, confirmed 2026-09-04.
  • Inbound calling and SMS also require Premium, and SMS is capped at 1,000 messages a month. Source, confirmed 2026-09-04.

The same three seats elsewhere

Three reps, 150 dials a day each. Telephony on the own-carrier rows is $52 a month, computed from 9,450 dials and 3,497 billable minutes at Twilio's published rates.

ToolSoftware a month, 3 seatsMinutesAll in a monthA year
PhoneBurner$420Bundled$420$5,040
DialSheet$29$52 own carrier$81$972
Myphoner$81$52 own carrier$133$1,596
JustCall$147Bundled$147$1,764
Close CRM$297Billed on topSoftware plus metered minutesNot computable

The gap between the top and bottom of that table is a factor of 5 for three people doing the same job. What PhoneBurner adds over the cheapest row is voicemail drop, unlimited minutes and a support organisation with two decades behind it. Whether those are worth $339 a month depends entirely on the talk-minute number above.

DialSheet is built by the author of this site, so its weaknesses are stated rather than left out: no voicemail drop, no native Salesforce or HubSpot package, two to four parallel lines rather than PhoneBurner's mature single-line engine, and no large public review corpus. The full version is on where DialSheet loses.

Before you sign

  1. Pull your team's actual talk minutes a rep a month from your current phone system. Everything on this page turns on that one number.
  2. Confirm which tier you need for transcription and inbound, because it is the top one.
  3. Ask whether the annual price holds at renewal or reverts to list.
  4. Ask what happens to your phone numbers if you leave, and whether they port.
  5. If your reps talk for less than 4,500 minutes a month, price a bring-your-own-carrier tool before you commit to a year.

Frequently asked questions

How much does PhoneBurner cost?
$140 per user per month on the Standard tier billed annually, $165 on Professional and $183 on Premium. Billed monthly those become $165, $195, $215. Unlimited calling is included on all three. Three seats cost $420 a month, verified against PhoneBurner's own pricing page on 2026-09-04.
Does PhoneBurner include unlimited calling?
Yes, on every tier, which is the strongest thing about its pricing and the reason the seat price is what it is. SMS is capped at 1,000 outbound messages a month on Premium, and inbound calling and SMS require the Premium tier.
Is PhoneBurner worth the price?
Above roughly 9,000 talk minutes a rep a month, yes: at that volume the flat fee costs less than buying the same minutes wholesale at $0.014. Recruiters running back-to-back screening calls and insurance desks holding long quote conversations reach it. A B2B SDR dialing 150 numbers a day uses about 1,166 billable minutes a month, which is roughly a 7.7 times shortfall, and below that line the same job runs a fraction of the price on a tool that bills minutes to your own carrier.
Does PhoneBurner do parallel dialing?
No. Single-line power dialing only, on every tier. Teams that need multiple lines have to look at Orum, Nooks, Salesfinity, Trellus or Kixie's multi-line tier, and the line count is the main thing those tools sell.
What is the cheapest PhoneBurner alternative?
DialSheet, at $29 a month for a 3-seat pack with minutes billed by your own Twilio account, so three seats run about $81 a month all in against $420. It has no voicemail drop, which PhoneBurner does, and that difference decides real purchases on high-volume desks. DialSheet is built by the author of this site. Myphoner at $27 a seat is the other low-cost option that runs on your own carrier.
